Welcome back! I've got a cool and easy way to use background stamps and with the awesome collection of them at Miss Ink I'm having lots of fun!

I started with a white panel of cardstock and swiped it with anti static powder. I stamped that beautiful Holly Jolly image onto it with Versamark and heat embossed it in purple.

Then I blended some Distress Oxides in Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans and Wilted Violet. Then to lighten up the snowy areas, I used a paintbrush to brush on some water in those areas and blotted it off with a paper towel to lighten it up.

I splattered water all over the panel and blotted it off. I also splattered on some white glittered paint. Finally I added Nuvo glitter gel on the posts where the snow is and then along the ground. Finally I dotted some all over but just dabbing the tip randomly to add some sparkle.

While I waited for everything to dry, I stamped, cut and colored the images from Little Angel and Springtime Banners and arranged them onto the base. Then I stamped the sentiment from Thankful and fussy cut the Thankful word and cut the remainder into a strip. Then I adhered the sentiment strip onto the card and popped the sentiment onto the top. I love the way the image really drops into the snowy night.

That's me for today! I'm loving playing with these backgrounds like this and hope you'll give it a try! Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon for more Miss Ink Stamps inspiration!
