Creating a City Scene for the Fashion Friends

Hello crafty friends, DT Randy here, welcome back to the blog. Today, I am creating a store front, city scene for our fashion couple. For this card, I combine the new ‘Fashionista’ and ‘Elementary’ stamp sets with the older ‘Java Joe’s’ stamp set.

I first stamped out my images, making sure to stamp out the storefront twice, and used Copic Markers to color them. I then fussy cut them out.

I took an A2 panel and ink blended the ‘Brick’ stencil with Lumberjack Plaid and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxides. On the lower fourth of the panel, I ink blended a sidewalk using Weathered Wood and Black Soot Distress Oxides.

I then adhered my storefront pieces onto the panel using liquid adhesive. I was able to cut one in half and adhered on either side of the full storefront.

I then adhered my other background pieces using liquid adhesive. I heat embossed my sentiment onto magenta cardstock using embossing ink and white embossing powder.

To complete the card, I adhered the couple onto the background using foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial today. Check out all the sets I used in the Miss Ink Stamps shop. Happy Crafting!
