I hippopotamiss you

I hippopotamiss you

Hello crafty friends! How's it going? Hope you're all safe and healthy at the moment. Silvia's here today sharing a friendship card with you.

I missed my friends sooooo much during this pandemic time and I like to tell them they're always on my mind and how much they mean to me, so I made this card....hope you'll enjoy it.

I first die cut two  white stitched rectangles, one 5,5" x 4,25" and one 5" x 3,75". I then die cut the smallest one in the middle with a scalloped border die and I ink blended the bigger one. I decided to create a wavy background on it, so I used the wavy stencil from the "Basic Bundle" stencils with salty ocean Distress Oxide ink first. Next I moved the stencil a bit and I ink blended with faded jeans Distress Oxide ink. I also darkened edges with chipped sapphire Distress Oxide ink and I added a bit of texture splattering some clean water and loosened Indian gold Nuvo mousse.

I stamped images from the "Hippo Hooray" stamp set with black ink, I colored them with alcohol markers and I fussy cut them.

I put everything together using a mix of liquid glue and foam tape and I stamped my sentiment with chipped sapphire Distress Oxide ink and that's all.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and see you soon.

Hugs, Silvia.
