I'm here for you

I'm here for you

Need a card to let someone special know you're there for them, no matter what? The new stamp set Rain or Shine is perfect. Hello there! Vanessa here today!

This stamp image is so cute, I wanted to create a simple card but one that would let the image stand out; an easel card did just that.

Creating an Easel card is simple. For the base, start with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of cardstock, then score at 5 1/2 and again at 8 1/4. Fold at the middle (5 1/2), then the remaining fold. You can bend it as far back as you like, but need to either create a notch to lock it in place or attach an embellishment for the same result.  I chose some large bling and ribbon.

The front panel piece can be any shape and size you like to fit on it. The important part is to only glue on the lower part under the fold, so that it still folds up. My bear and bunny friend scene is cut i to a 3 1/2 × 3 1/2 square and then glued to a silver mat.

I stamped the Rain or shine sentiment under the stamped image, then the I'm here for you sentiment from the Every day sentiments stamp set, under the ribbon to the right. I wanted to keep this card pretty clean and simple but felt it needed just a.little something else, soooo.... I stenciled hearts from the rainbow builder stencil set onto the card base in grey and inked all around the edges in silver.

Because of the embellishments and ribbon I used, it's a little bulky; however, lays flat enough for regular mailing.
