Let’s Go Mad in the Craft Room

Hello crafty friends, DT Randy here. One of my favorite stamp sets from the Alice collection is the Madness stamp set. I really love the large sentiment “we’re all Mad here” and wanted to create a card that focuses on this sentiment.

I wanted to create a fun background for this sentiment, so I took an A2 panel and stamped the images from the Storybook Alice, Tea Party, and Tea Cups stamp set around the border of the panel. I used both black and grey inks.

I then took Twisted Citron and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides, diluted them with water and splattered them across the panel.

I then heat embossed my sentiment onto purple cardstock. I then took a circle die I had in my stash and die cut out the sentiment. Using a larger circle die, I die cut out a circle from vellum.

I then trimmed down a piece of green cardstock to fit behind my background. I adhered both pieces using tape runner.

I adhered my circles using liquid adhesive. I then adhered the circles to the middle of the background using foam tape. To complete my card, I added green enamel dots around the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial today. All the stamp sets that I used are linked above. Happy Crafting!
