Mixing It Up - Layering Stencils

Mixing It Up - Layering Stencils

Have you checked out all of the new stencils in the shop?  If not, you should because they're all pretty awesome!  I love to use the Ins and Outs stencils along with any of the other stencils to make a cool color blocked stenciled area.  For today's I used the Windmill Stencil along with the Ins and Outs: Hollywood Stencil Set!
I started with the Hollywood Ins and Outs stencil and blended some Ink on 3 Atelier Ink in Bee Sting Yellow through it using a sponge.
I left the stencil in place after and then placed the Windmill Stencil over the top of it and blended in some Atelier Ink in Marigold Orange along with some additional yellow to create an ombre look.
Cool look, right??
Finally I lined up the outline stencil over the top of the color blocked area.  The lines on the stencil make it easy to get it just right!  I used Atelier Ink in Twiggy Brown for the outline.
I like to match my base colors to the colors I've stenciled in... I chose a pretty yellow and brown.  Then I stamped, cut and colored the image from the Fall Bouquet stamp set and popped it up in the corner so that pretty stenciling would show.
I stamped the sentiment from Fall Bouquet onto a small banner die cut and popped it up... added a few sequins and I was done!
Thanks so much for stopping today!  I hope you'll come back again soon for more Miss Ink Stamps inspiration!
