Step Up Your Card Making with Brenda - Easel Card

Hello, Miss Ink friends!! I hope you are doing well and your week is off to a great start!!

Today, I have another way to step up your card making...make an easel card!! Let's get started!!

I began by inking one of the rainbows in the Rainbow Builder Stencil Set with Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. Once it was dry, I fussy cut it out. I stamped one of the unicorns from the Lovely Unicorns Stamp Set onto white cardstock, colored it with Copic markers, then fussy cut it out. I traced around the cloud from the Rainbow Sky Stencil Set onto the back side of a piece of white glitter cardstock several times and cut those out.

Next, I scored an A2 card base at 2 3/4" and folded it along the score line. I inked some clouds on the front of the card base using the Scene Builder: Cloud Stencil, Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and a blending brush. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink, trimmed into a square and matted with black cardstock.

I also inked a portion of the inside of the card, since it will show when the easel card is on display.

I adhered the rainbow along the folded edge of the card, then arranged the other clouds and unicorn as shown, popping up the unicorn and lower clouds with foam adhesive.

I adhered a couple of smaller squares of black cardstock behind the sentiment, giving a bit more dimension to act as a "stop" for the easel.

I really love how this turned out and it was really easy to do!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week!!

Brenda
