Step Up Your Cardmaking with Brenda - Add Foil

Hello, Miss Ink friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!! I have another installment of Step Up Your Cardmaking to share today!! This time we're adding foil!!

I began by spreading on Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo onto white cardstock through the Hand Drawn Hearts Stencil with a palette knife. I also die-cut a heart and spread some of the gel onto it with my finger. I waited about an hour and ran the cardstock panel and the heart through my die-cut machine with the Rainbow Deco Foil.

Next, I die-cut a black cardstock panel to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and two larger hearts from white and black cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sunshine and Rainbows Stamp Set onto white cardstock with black ink, cut it into a rectangle and matted it with black cardstock. (I just LOVE this sentiment!!) The heart was adhered to the two larger hearts and the foiled panel to the black cardstock panel.

The hearts were popped up with foam tape in the center of the card and the sentiment block was adhered to the heart with even more foam adhesive.

Here's another pic...I tried to capture the shine!!

This is the first time that I've used foil without heat and it certainly won't be the last!! Foil just adds so much shine!!

What about you! Are you a foil fan?

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week!

Brenda
