Step Up Your Cardmaking With Brenda - Shadowbox Card

e Hello, Miss Ink friends!! Brenda here with another installment of Step Up Your Cardmaking with Brenda!! Today, I'm creating a spring shadowbox card featuring the Springtime Bunnies and Meadow Scene Builder Stamp Sets!! I saw Jennifer McGuire create a shadowbox card recently and knew these stamp sets would be perfect for this type of card!! Let's get started!!

I began by stamping the background from Meadow Scene Builder and the images from Springtime Bunnies onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. I added some shine to the critter's eyes with a black glaze pen and white gel pen. Then I fussy cut them out.

I trimmed white cardstock into two panels of 5.5" x 6.25", then scored and folded them at .5" and 1" from each side. I die-cut a circle from the front panel and a panel of blue cardstock using circle dies.

Next, I trimmed the background panel and adhered it to the scored back panel. The blue cardstock, grass and chicks were adhered to the backside of the front panel. I stamped the sentiment, also from Springtime Bunnies, onto the front panel. Heavyweight acetate strips were adhered to the back of the bunnies with double sided adhesive.

I adhered the acetate between the front and back panels and then adhered the panels together, adding adhesive only on the outside of the score lines, then trimmed the acetate strips flush with the sides.

I added a couple of Watercolor Butterflies around the sentiment and called it done!!

I really love how this turned out!! It was really pretty simple to put together and I hope that you'll try it!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a great day!!

Brenda
