Step Up Your Cardmaking with Brenda - Shaped Card

Hello, crafty friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!!

Aren't the gnomes from the latest release just adorable? There are still a couple of them that I haven't used yet, and Big Mugs is one of them. I figured there was nothing more fitting than to put this super-cute gnome on a BIG MUG!! Let's get started!!

I began by stamping the gnome from Big Mugs onto white cardstock, coloring him with Copics and fussy cutting him out. I also die-cut the coffee mug card shape (from Trinity Stamps) from bristol smooth cardstock.

Next, I added some purple tape to mask off the back of the card for some ink blending.

I added Rusty Hinge, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks to the mug and Vintage Photo for the "coffee".

Once that was dry, i adhered the Floral Wave Stencil and some more Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide Ink.

This is what it looked like once the tape was removed. I white heat embossed the sentiment, also from Big Mugs onto black cardstock and trimmed it into a rectangle.

All that was left was to adhere everything together!! I popped the gnome and the sentiment up with foam adhesive.

That's it!! By making it into a shaped card, it definitely steps it up a bit!!

Thanks for hanging out with me today!! Have a great week and I'll see you next month!!
