Hello crafty friends and welcome back to the Miss Ink Stamps' blog it's Rick back with you again this week to share inspiration using your Free with Purchase Stencils and your 4x4 Thank You Stencils. For May 2026 the Free with Purchase Stencil is called Classic Floral and the 4 x 4 Thank You Stencil is Leafy Hearts and as always I have curated products to get you to that $50 threshold for the Free with Purchase Stencil. I have created two cards using the Free with Purchase Stencil and one using this month's Thank You Stencil. They look complicated but aren't!

Free with Purchase Stencil Classic Florals Cards
This month I created two cards using the Free with Purchase Stencil using a fun technique that creates a two for one background panel. I started out by placing a piece of Watercolor Cardstock down on to my work surface and placed the Classic Florals Free with Purchase Stencil over it. I inked up the stencil with three colors of Distress Oxide Inks and sprayed the panel with water. Then picked up the stencil and placed it inky side down on another piece of Watercolor Cardstock. The leftover piece created the background used on my Set Your Imagination Free Card.

I used the Imagine a Dragon Stamp Set to create the focal image for this card and this is my featured stamp set this month. I used the coordinating Imagine a Dragon Outline Dies to cut him out after coloring the image with a few Copic Markers. After the watercolor panel had dried I added a little stamping to the background with one of the other sentiments in the set. I added the dragon to a piece of white cardstock and placed it in the center of the card front. The card front was then added to a top folding A2 card base. I finished this card off by adding a few of the Fright Night Pearls and a outline to the focal panel with a black fineliner.

I removed the stencil from the second piece of watercolor paper and dried the panel. I then cut it out with the scalloped rectangle die from the EIEIO Frame Die Set and attached it to a top folding A2 Card base. I took another piece of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment Just a Little Spark of Inspiration in the bottom right corner. I then added the second dragon I had stamped and cut out with the Imagine a Dragon Stamp Set and coordinating dies and popped it in the center of this panel. I added two sets of lines to the focal panel with my fineliner and a set of three pearls from the Fright Night Pearls to finish the second card off. Two backgrounds from one technique.
Leafy Heart 4x4 Thank You Stencil Card
While the watercolor panels were drying I worked on the card featuring this month's Leafy Hearts 4x4 Thank You Stencil. The 4x4 Thank You Stencils comes in your packages with any size order each month. For this card I started out my ink blending the Leafy Heart onto a piece of Masking Paper and fussy cutting it out. I then placed the Leafy Heart Stencil onto a panel of watercolor paper and used gray inks in four different shades to ink blend the design onto my card front. I used a fineliner and traced the design to have a bold outline.

I then placed the mask over the stenciled design and used the Hand Drawn Hearts Stencil to add the background hearts using four different shades of pink ink. Next I removed the mask and cut the panel down with the stitched rectangle die from the EIEIO Frame Dies and also cut a piece of black cardstock with the plain rectangle die in the same die set as well. I layered the two panels together and added the sentiment You Spark Joy In My Heart from the Imagine Dragon Stamp Set below the heart. I added the card front to a top folding A2 card base with foam adhesive and added a few Fright Night Pearls to finish this card off.
