Wishing You a Magical Birthday

Wishing You a Magical Birthday

Hello craft friends! It's Amanda from Twiddler's Nook today with a pretty slimline birthday card featuring the Lovely Unicorns and some other new stencils too! Let's dive in to creating!

I started this card by stamping images from Lovely Unicorns and colored them with my copic markers. I used my scan-n-cut to cut them all out and moved on to my background. For that, I started with the scene builder: clouds stencil that you see above. I inked it up with a soft pink, flipped it around and added a second layer of clouds in a light peach. Then I flipped it back over and lined it up, then I just shifted my stencil up so that the swirls in the middle of the stencil match the curves of the pink clouds. I taped it in place and smeared iridescent glitz gel through the swirls in the stencil and removed it. Isn't that a beautiful way to add dimension and texture to your clouds!?! I just love it!

Once the glitz gel was dry, I replaced the clouds stencil and shifted it up just a bit so protect my clouds from the stars I'm about to add. I taped that stencil in place and positioned the starry night stencil over the top. I added champagne metallix gel with a palette knife on half of the scene, picked up the stencil and repositioned it, then added the other half.

Once it was all dry, I ran it through the die cutter with the Trinity Stamps slimline scalloped panels die and glued it to a white card base. Now, it's time to add my images and sentiment.

I added foam squares to the back of all my images with the exception of the flowers. Those are added with liquid glue. I put everything in place and then put my card in my MISTI to stamp the sentiment on the bottom right corner which I had left open for it.

Moving on to finishing touches, I added Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to the unicorn horns, flower petals and butterfly wings. Then I added glossy accents to the unicorn horns and flower centers. Because the Wink of Stella is water based, when you add glossy accents over the top, it mixes together and gives a whole different shimmery look. It's really cool in person. I highly recommend trying it!

I hope you enjoyed today's card and found some inspiration to create something wonderful!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
