Hi, crafty friends! Lauren Taylor Made here, and I’m so excited to share my latest card project on the Miss Ink Stamps blog! I’m so excited to share a card I made for the brand new release, which includes both fandom and non-fandom sets. Today I’m giving you a closer look at two of the new products: the Math Class background and the It’s All Relative stamp set. These designs are inspired by Albert Einstein and are perfect for the science lovers (and pun lovers!) in your life.
To start, I colored up the scientist, his cluttered desk, and the chalkboard. I heat embossed the sentiment “Because you matter” onto the chalkboard with white embossing powder to really give it that authentic look. A few extra touches, like the eraser and chalk pieces, brought the scene to life. It was such a fun way to highlight how detailed these new images are!
For the background, I stamped the Math Class design in a soft gray ink on cardstock to create a subtle tone-on-tone look. I layered that over a scalloped kraft panel that I stamped with atoms around the edges. This gave the card a playful and nerdy feel without distracting from the focal point. Dimension was added with a mix of liquid adhesive and foam tape so the layers stood out.
I finished everything off with a long sentiment on the inside of the card: “If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, what is an empty desk a sign of?” I couldn’t resist—it fit the design too perfectly! I’m so excited for this release and can’t wait to see what you create with these new sets. Let me know in the comments what you’re most excited to grab—I already have a wish list myself!
