Birthday Gnomes Tri-fold Card

Birthday Gnomes Tri-fold Card

Hello friends! This is Amanda from Twiddler's Nook joining with a super fun Birthday Gnomes tri-fold birthday card today! This card was really fun to create and can be used with any stamps in your stash! Let's check it out!

I've taken just a couple of process photos along the way to try and make it easier to recreate this card. I hope they help.

Start with two A2 size card bases and then trim just a hair...like maybe 1/16th inch off one side of each. It doesn't matter which side at this point because we will flip and flop them until the right sides are together.

Now, align your cards like shown in the picture above and glue the back two panels together with tape runner or liquid glue.

Next, I chose two different colors for my panel backgrounds an inked them up with the diamond fade stencil. I wanted a border so these panels are 4x5.25 inches already. I chose inks from my stash similar to the cardstock colors for a tone-on-tone look. Then I adhered them to the front and inside card flaps.

I stamped and colored the large image from Birthday Gnomes with my copics, then used the scan-n-cut to cut it out. I also stamped and trimmed some sentiments into strips and mounted them on black cardstock for a bit of definition. Using my image as a guide, I used an oval die to cut a window in the front panel. Then I glued the first sentiment below it.

Using the window to line up my image, I adhered it in place next with a sentiment below that. Because this is on the inside of the card, I kept everything flat with no foam tape dimension.

For the very inside of your card, you have options where to place your sentiment. I went with the far right because I'm thinking of adorning the center with gift cards or money for the recipient. Then I will write my message under the sentiment.

You know I can't leave things completely alone so I moved in for finishing touches by adding glossy accents to the flames on the candles because they show through the window and won't get stuck.

Products used on today's card:
Birthday Gnomes stamps
Diamond Fade stencil
Pink & Main Layered Oval dies

I hope you find some fun inspiration from my card today and create something wonderful to share with someone!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
