Bold Stenciling Over Cardstock Strips

Bold Stenciling Over Cardstock Strips

Hey, it's Lynnea! I have a bold twist on a stenciled background to share today ... and you'll use up some of your cardstock scraps, too! I used the Heirloom Blooms Stencil from Miss Ink Stamps and also made a fall stamp set turn into spring!
If you're like me then you probably have a BUNCH of colored cardstock just sitting around in your craft room. This technique won't use up a lot of it, but it will help you use up your scraps! I cut six colors of cardstock into various widths and adhered them onto a piece of A2 cardstock.
Now for the fun part! I added the Heirloom Blooms Stencil over my cardstock strips background and added a heavy layer of black ink over the top. I LOVE the bold look!
I stamped the large image from the Fall Bouquet Stamp Set and colored it with Copic Markers. I bubble cut around the images and the sentiment and added them to the front of my card with foam tape.
I just love this technique! It's perfect for all of those new Miss Ink Stamps stencils! Happy crafting!
