Caterpillar Birthday

Caterpillar Birthday

Hello everyone, Christine here, with a simple birthday card using the Smokin Caterpillars stamp, the Punny Farm Pigs stamp, the Streamers Coordinating Die set and a lot of glitter.  Is there such a thing as too much glitter? Perhaps I reached the threshold level here, but I love having some on every card!

To make this card I used the new speckled egg distress oxide ink (my favorite blue) and ink blended a circle of color onto some Neenah 110 lb cardstock in solar white that had been die cut with a rectangle die.  I then applied some Cosmic Shimmer Ultra Sparkle paste in Frosty Sparkle over the circle and set it aside to dry. I die cut the celebrate word out of gold cardstock that I had in my stash and the larger shadow piece out of 110 lb Neenah solar white cardstock with the Streamers Coordinating Die set . They were glued together with connect glue (Gina K).

I colored all the images from the Smokin Caterpillars stamp and Punny Farm Pigs stamp with copics. The balloons and cake were colored with Y21 and R30; I added the same glitter paste that I used on the background panel to the balloons and set those aside to dry.  I used V20 and V22 on the caterpillar and mushrooms and added some white gel dots.  I used G46 and G43 for the foliage.  I then adhered everything in place firmly with Gina K connect glue once I liked the placement.

Thank you so much for stopping by- I wish you a crafty afternoon! CBKJul26
