Coffee Before Crime Solving

Hello crafty friends, DT Randy here. Welcome back to the blog. I am excited to share a card I created using the stamp sets from the newest release. This mini release is perfect for all fans of crime solving and detectives.

I wanted to create a scene for this detective and his dog from the new Whodunnit stamp set. I stamped out my images the Whodunnit stamp set and also the True Crime Stamp set and used Copic Markers to color them. I then fussy cut them out and set them to the side to work on my background.

I first took an A2 panel and ink blended it with Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxides. I then took the Scene Builder: Treeline stencil and blended it with Forest Moss and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides over the panel.

I took another A2 panel and trimmed down the bottom quarter of it. I ink blended it with Tea Dye and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxides.

I then adhered both background pieces together using liquid adhesive. I heat embossed my sentiment directly above the trees using embossing ink and white embossing powder.

I then adhered my images using liquid adhesive. I completed the card by adding some detail using the Splatter stencil and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxides.

You can find all of the sets in the latest release here in the shop. Happy Crafting!
