Hello crafty friends. Davina here today with a sweet and colorful “hello” card to cheer anyone up and brighten their day. I used the adorable Coffee Gnomes and a fresh spring palette to create this card.
I’m currently at a disadvantage when it comes to getting anything done at house. My home is having extensive renovations and I’ve had to move my entire upstairs out. So my craft room is buried and packed, and I have access to few of my items.
With some inkblending tools and my copic markers in hand I set out to make this card for you. I stamped and colored my gnomes and decided that they would look quite adorable with the quirky table from the Tea Party set. I wanted to try something different than my usually style, an experiment of sorts.
I inked a soft sunrise onto my panel, blending into white. I splattered it with water and white and gold ink. Then I carefully stamped half of the table onto my inked background. I chose to leave it uncolored with my sky showing through. I then added a couple of tea and coffee cups to the top.
I layered the colorful gnomes onto my panel and added a Punny sentiment from amazing Java Joes coffee shop set. I also stamped a few of the little hearts from the same set. I had a dish of pre cut letters in a jar, so I dished out the word “HI” and surrounded it with the hearts. I added glittery gold and blue cardstock matted layers and decided I was comp, eye. I intended to make a simpler card since I am limirpted at the time, and I didn’t want to keep on messing around with it and go too far haha.
I’m so pleased that I was able to make such a cute pick me up with my few supplies and minimal space. But I do home to have my house back together soon since I’m feeling very hurried and stressed out.
Thank you for stopping by,
Davina
