Curated Wizardry

Hello fellow wizard and witch lovers! Today I have a card that I wanted to look like a curio cabinet with lots of magical artifacts displayed. I used lots of magical dies sets in the shop including Lightning Bolts, Flying CarsFrogs and beans, Glasses, Flying Keys, Mini Crests, Up to No Good stamp & die, Lots of Letters and the Woodgrain Frame die.

I started by die cutting the wooden frame with the Woodgrain Frame die out of brown woodgrain cardstock that I had in my stash. I had made a cut file of my own in Silhouette Studio that cuts the insert of the Curio cabinet- I used a lighter tan cardstock that I had in my stash and used my Cameo to die cut it.  The banner sentiment and footsteps were stamped and die cut with my Brother Scan and Cut machine.

I had so much fun die cutting all the elements that I wanted to display in the Curio Cabinet: I used gold metallic cardstock and gold vellum with the Lightning Bolts, Flying Keys and Mini Crests die sets; I used metallic blue and purple cardstock for the Flying Cars and Glasses die sets; a cream colored cardstock with the Lots of Letters die set and brown cardstock for the chocolate frog with the Frogs and beans die set.  For interest, I added shiny vellum in some of the boxes of the curio.

It took me a while to set up the card and I only glued everything down once I liked how the card looked. I hope that you will give these adorable magical icons a try, it's very satisfying to create such adorable embellishments out of paper!

Thank you so much for stoping by!
