Happy Spring, Easter Blessings.... Easter is April 9th this year, and I'm getting started on my cards. Vanessa here today to share this quick, easy and so cute spring and/or Easter card. There's no sentiment on the front, but inside is stamped happy spring, Easter blessings.
The little bird feet are sooooo cute! It's a Miss Ink Stamps stencil called Feed the Birds. After ink blending onto mixed media paper with oxide inks (fossilized amber, ripe persimmon, and picked rasberry), I stenciled on the feet pattern with ground espresso. Tip: I prefer to use the round sponges for ink application, but for this stencil, I found a brush better, easier for getting into the tiny spaces.
The Springtime Bunnies stamp set not only has adorable bunny stamps, but look at these cute chicks! I die cut a small rectangle and stamped the chicks across, including over the edges. I quickly colored them with an alcohol ink marker, and colored pencil for the tiny beak and feet: matted the background panel and the chicks and put the card together. Easy Peasy! My inside sentiments, not shown, are from the Springtime Bunnies set, too. It's not quite here yet, but happy spring to you all!
