It's All Unicorns and Rainbows here!

Hello everyone, Christine here with a clean and simple card that features the new Lovely Unicorns stamp and the Hello everyone, Christine here with a clean and simple card that features the new Lovely Unicorns stamp and the Basket Case stencil.  Isn't the new release super fun?  I hope that you were able to purchase everything that you wanted!

I decided to go back to the 80's to design my card today. I started with the background which I wanted keep simple, as I wanted the focus to be on the unicorn.  I spread Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Paste in Frosty Dawn Sparkle (my favorite of the whole line- it has iridescent sparkles in warm tones: pink, orange and yellow) all over the Basket Case stencil on to 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock.  This heavy cardstock can withstand the moisture from the paste and doesn't warp.  You can tape down the sides as I did, but for more intricate stencils, it is best to spray the stencil with Pixie Spray from Thermoweb, which is a light adhesive.  I immediated removed the stencil, washed it with warm water and soap and let the background dry for a day.

I die cut the rainbows and clouds with a now retired die set from Trinity Stamps.  I colored the rainbow with copics ( Y21, G24, B21, BV01, R20 and YR15 ) and spread the same glitter paste over the entire rainbow and set it to the side to dry.

I die cut the unicorn and sentiment with my Brother Scan-n-Cut2.  I colored the unicorn mane with the same color copics as I did on the rainbow ( Y21, G24, B21, BV01, R20 and YR15 ) and then used a little W3 and W0 to color shadows on the unicorn.

I hope that you like the card and will put some rainbows on your cards!  Thank you so much for stopping by!!!!
