Mixing It Up - A Glittery Embossed Background

Mixing It Up - A Glittery Embossed Background

Welcome back!  I have a quick one today.  I was testing out that glitter embossing powder to see what it looked like to use it on a different project so I grabbed that Hand Drawn Hearts stencil and applied some embossing paste through it and tested it out.  It was called Rainbow Glitter Embossing Powder so I wanted to see how rainbowy it was...lol.  Well, it wasn't all that rainbowy but it was quite beautiful! So I set it aside and decided I'd use it for this week's post.

Then I just needed to decide what images to use with it.. and I pulled out the Gardenia set and decided it was the one.  When I set out to color it, my plan was to just use a very faint pink for the flower and a light light green for the leaves... but sometimes things evolve and I landed on something a little brighter.  I stamped, die cut and colored the floral and popped it up onto the embossed background.  I used the extra flower and leaf images from the set to fill it out.

I used a banner from the Springtime Banners stamp set and stamped it with one of the sentiments from the Decaf Background set.

Sometimes all you need is a sparkly background and some beautiful flowers!

And here are the colors I used:

Thanks for coming!  I hope you'll come again soon!

And don't forget there's a Design Team Call going on here at Miss Ink Stamps!  Check out this post here for all of the details!
