Mixing It Up - Stenciled/Embossed Die Cuts

Mixing It Up - Stenciled/Embossed Die Cuts

Hi all... Lisa here and today I'm sharing a card I made using a background I almost discarded.  I had created it using a Diamond Fade stencil and then cut it to the wrong size so I had to start over.  I didn't discard it though because I loved it and knew I'd use it eventually... so here we are!
I created the background by applying some texture paste through the stencil and then sprinkled on some embossing powders and heated them up.  It really is one of my favorite backgrounds because it's so fun to watch the embossing bubble and you just never know what it's going to do.
I was so mad at myself when I realized I had cut the panel wrong, so unlike me, I set it aside and started over.  But I hung onto it for just such an occasion... and it was perfect to diecut it in a heart shape for this card!  I decided the rest of my background would be white so that it would pop... and I think it does!
I decided to add a topper underneath the beautiful floral from the Brewtiful set... it is one of my favorite florals because it's easy to color up and it's beautiful!
I colored up one of the cups from the Brewtiful set along with some of the extra florals/leaves and one of my fave sentiments!
Just a few sequins and that's me!
Thanks so much for stopping today!  Nothing earth shattering... but remember just because you don't care for that background you made for a background... hang onto it!  You never know when it will be just what you need!
Thanks so much for stopping and be sure to come again soon for more Miss Ink Stamps inspiration!
