Pumpkin Spiced House card

Pumpkin Spiced House card

Hello there, Christine here. I love the new stamp set Pumpkin Spice Gnomes- so many cute images and such an adorable pumpkin house!  I often want to put patterned paper in a card, just to create some interest and I did that today with some muted tones, so that the images are really the focal point.

I first picked two rectangle panel dies and cut a large frame out of cardstock (Lawn Fawn)- a light green worked the best because it brought out the green in the hat of the gnome, etc.  I will often play around with backgrounds and try several out (I had made several backgrounds with stencils and foiling and ended up going with this one.  I didn't want the background to take too much focus away from the images. Some yellow vellum in the background was just enough to create interest and to let the orange of the pumpkins be on display.

I die cut all my images with my Brother Scan-n-cut2 and then did come copic coloring.  The sentiment was fussy cut and is from the Pumpkin Spice sentiment stamp.  The pumpkins were colored with YR68 and YR15, the gnome, leaves were colored with G29, G24, G43 & G46, the gnomes pants & the chimney were colored with C5 & C3.  The steps and mushrooms were colored with light and dark crumbcake from Stampin Up.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
