Snowstorm in July

Snowstorm in July

Welcome to a week of collaboration between ThermoWeb and Miss Ink Stamps!  Today I have a snowstorm in July as I could not resist trying out the Deco Foil white latte flock transfer sheets from Thermoweb with the Miss Ink Tiny Snowfall Stencil, the Oh Deer and Beautiful Destination stamp sets.

First I ink blended faded jeans, shaded lilac and a little bit of speckled egg distress inks together on some heavy weight 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock.  I then placed the Miss Ink Tiny Snowfall Stencil on top and spread Deco Foil transfer gel duo on top.  I cleaned the stencil off immediately and let the panel dry overnight.

The next morning, I placed the Deco Foil white latte flock transfer sheets on top and ran it through the die cut machine.  I absolutely love how it turned out- the snow flakes are so delicate!

You can see the fuzzy flocked snowflakes below more easily.

Then I set to work creating the scene. I die cut the images from the the Oh Deer with my Brother CutnScan2 and fussy cut some trees from the Beautiful Destination stamp set.  I did some simple copic coloring with E31, E34, E000 and E44 for the deer, and G24 & G28 for the trees.  Finally I fussy cut some white woodgrain to make snow banks and then used a little bit of copic markers on top of the wood grain to make it a little more interesting (V0000, B0000).

Thank you so much for stopping by- I hope that you are enjoying our collaboration this week!
