Hello Everyone! Justin here, and today I am so excited to be sharing this adorably frosty creation using the new Bear Hugs stamp set!
This card was actually quite simple to put together! First, I stamped out the hugging bears, ground lying bear, mouse and cave images and colored them up using my Copic Markers. I saw them as polar bears, so I decided that icy blue was going to be a constant theme in my project. Once they were all colored up, I fussy cut them out and set them aside.
Secret Tip: See how I only used the right side of the cave? I didn't color up the left side at all, which was a great time saver! However, If you color up your cave entirely and cut it in half, be sure to save that other half for a 2nd project!
My background was also quite simple to put together as well. I started off with a light blue piece of cardstock (if you look at the bottom of my card front, thats about what color the cardstock was when I started. Then, starting from the top, I took Salty Ocean Distress Ink and blended down about two thirds to the bottom of the card, trying my best to keep a light transition of colors towards the end. I then took Prize Ribbon Distress Ink, and, from the top down, blended about one third of the way down from the card. I splattered the background with some sparkle liquid and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. Then, I put the Sparkles Stencil over top of the panel, and applied a solid layer of Silver Glitz Glitter Gel over top.
Tip: Because the Sparkles Stencil leaves thin and small details, it doesn't take too long to dry entirely. However, allow for more time if your stenciled details are larger!
I then stamped my sentiment "beary thankful for you" in alcohol marker safe ink, colored over it with a frosty blue green blend of Copic Markers (the same colors I used for all the icy details), and die cut the sentiment out with a banner die cut. I adhered my cave and moon with liquid adhesive, and then all the bears and sentiment with foam tape. Taking liquid adhesive, I also adhered some blue sequin embellishments as well!
My card was completed!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Miss Ink Stamps blog today! I hope this project leaves you with some unbearably cute inspiration!
