Stenciled Birthday Card

Stenciled Birthday Card

I love stencils, don't you?! I made a card without coloring and really let some stencils from Miss Ink Stamps do the work for me!

I started by taping the Floral Stained Glass Stencil to my card front and masking off the top half-ish of my card. I blended on two colors of yellow ink keeping it darker at the masking line for dimension. I removed that stencil and lined up the sunburst from the Scene Builder Stencil in the center of the card. I blended pink ink over the sunburst and shifted the stencil left and right to continue the line of sunbursts across my card.
I wanted to add some subtle shimmer to my card, so I placed the Scene Builder Stencil back over my sunbursts and used my finger to apply some Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel over the ink blending. Using my finger allows me to add just a little bit of the Glitz Glitter Gel instead of a layered look.
I definitely wanted to keep the focus on the gorgeous stenciling, so I stamped a simple sentiment from the Streamers Stamp Set and added a strip of black cardstock to the stenciling "seam". I hope you pick up your stencils and show them some love this week! See you soon!
