Super sneaky peek: Holly Jolly Christmas Slimline

Super sneaky peek: Holly Jolly Christmas Slimline

Hi there, Christine here.  I was allowed to share a super sneaky sneak peek of the new holiday release that will arrive at Miss Ink Stamps store this Saturday, November 21st!  Today I'm showing a card using part of 2 new stamps set: the Holly Jolly stamp set and the Snow One Like You stamp set- both will be available on the 21st and official sneaks will start on the 18th!

I didn't want to make a smaller card so I felt that these 2 stamp sets when perfectly together as long as there was some dimension.  The Holly Jolly Scene can appear way off in the distance with the Snow One Like You snowman can appear up close.  Usually I have a really hard time having so much white space- I do love delicate use of color in my backgrounds; but I decided to just try it out, I figured I could always color the frames afterwards!

I cut a slimline card panel and frames using Trinity Stamps Slimline Modern Embossed dies. I made a slimline card base (8.5 inches by 3.5 inches).  I kept the copic coloring very simple and in some instances (snow) didn't color at all, but used glitter paste with a paint brush as shown above! I used the following copics- R46 & R59 for the scarf, house & berries, G29, G28 & G24 for the trees, house, leaves, B0000 for the snowman & clouds, E35 & E34 for the twigs, Light & dark crumbcake (Stampin Up) for the fence. I propped up the snowman on double sided foam tape to create some dimension.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope that you are excited for the new release!
