Hello, it's Kari with a new video to share with you today! I'm creating two Highland Cow Cards with some easy techniques.
Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:
I started out with a stenciling technique: first stencil on a lighter color, then shift the stencil a tiny bit and ink on a darker color over the top. This technique really shines when you try a darker cardstock (Like this Desert Storm cardstock) and start out with WHITE PIGMENT INK. Then shift the stencil a little and add some Pine Needles Oxide Ink over the top. It really makes the color pop!
After inking both panels and the ink was completely dry, I cut the HI from the Hi Swirl Frame Die from both in approximately the same spot. Then I switched the white card HI to go over the darker background panel, adding a gold shadow.
I used the Desert Storm HI over a black cardstock shadow and added that to the white cardstock panel. Then I made some flower accents from the same Hi Swirl Frame Die set.
How cute are those Highland Cows?!? I just love this stamp set and I colored three of them up for these cards.
I hope you enjoyed this DOUBLE project today! See you soon with more cards to share,
Kari
