Woodgrain Holiday

Woodgrain Holiday

Hello Friends! Emily here (@popsofpaper) using the Woodgrain Background stamp set with a holiday twist. One of the best things about this creative outlet is trying different ideas and the fun art that is creates. I thought it would be fun to use the Woodgrain Background stamp with red/green colors to create two quick and easy Holiday Cards. All of the holiday greetings are a sneak peek of a new sentiment stamp set coming to the shop on November 9th. There are so many great holiday sentiments in this set; I can’t wait for you to see it!

To create the green and red card, I stamped the background to white cardstock using my Misti and VersaFine Clair Green Oasis Ink. Then I added clear embossing powder to the stamped image and heat embossed to add some “volume” to the impression. I then used red ink to add the heart knothole design. Then I stamped and heat embossed all of the sentiments and adhered them in a fun pattern with thin foam adhesive. For just a little extra pop, I added two large stars to the card.

To create the red and green card, I double stamped the woodgrain background to white card stock using Cherry Kisses ink from The Stamp Market. Then I used Green Oasis VersaFine Clair Ink to add the heart knothole. Then I stamped and heat embossed a few more sentiments and added them to the card with thin foam adhesive. To finish the card, I added a few extra sequins for a little extra sparkle.

So there we are friends, some very different but pretty simple to create wood grain holiday cards. I hope you enjoyed my projects today and it inspires you to use your stamps and inks in fun new ways.

Big Paper Hugs!

Emily
