Hello and welcome to the blog; It's Rick back with you agin this week. Today I have a fun and easy mixed media card to share with you using the Queen of Hearts Stamp Set and some coordinating stencils from the Alice Collection.
For my card I started out by ink blending the images from the stencils using Distress Oxide Inks. The stencils I picked to use are the Alice Background Pack, Hand Drawn Hearts, Pick A Card Stencils. I started out with a light brown piece of cardstock and used the three stencils from the Alice Background Pack. I then used a piece of red cardstock and used the Hand Drawn Hearts Stencil. For my last panel I used the darker brown cardstock and used the Pick a Card Stencil. On this panel I also stamped one of the typed sentiments from the Queen of Hearts Stamp Set using a dark brown oxide ink making sure to stamp the text using first second and third generation stamping. I then stamped a few of the other images from the stamp set in the background using different colored inks. I then flicked on some Distress Spray Stains in two different colors and a red mica stain.
I then colored the Queen of Hearts and the rabbit using my alcohol markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. I then attached everything to the card front to finish off the card.
